REBEL CHEF FRIED ONIONS WITH SPICY SOUR CREAM DIPPING SAUCE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp. chives, chopped

1 tbsp. FRANK'S® REDHOT® XTRA HOT Cayenne Pepper Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Serve as a dipping sauce for fried onions(see below for recipe) or your favorite fried veggie.

TIPS:

Fried Onions: In a large bowl, dissolve 1 packet active dry yeast in 1/3 cup warm water and let sit for 5 minutes. Add 2 large beaten eggs, 2/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. kosher salt, freshly ground pepper, and 1 tbsp. turmeric, and mix well. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour. Separate onion into petals. Dip in batter and then fry in oil heated to 350°F, until petals are golden brown.
